This is a scanned image of a CD cover which I made in 2001, shortly after 9-11. I don't have the original image anymore, but it was drawn using mostly the line tool in Photoshop (and some fonts of course). I HAD to portray the event in some way... it was terrifying, and I needed to express that feeling. No amount of detail could do such a portrait justice, so I went for the most simple way possible.
I'd rather not comment on the event itself. Generally, I don't think we should jump to conclusions. We shouldn't act like wounded animals. We shouldn't let fear conquer our spirit and cloud our judgment. And we shouldn't follow people who offer simple solutions.
Then again, I could be wrong. Sometimes I feel like I desperately want to offend simple-minded people, but I guess in this case I'd rather pass. There's no reasoning with radical ideologies... on neither side.
