My entry for :iconrekia:'s autumn-themed contest [link]

It's Bombshell, from my same-titled comic [link]

So now you may say that I took the easy way and just added leaves on a pin-up and not really thought about the contest's topic -- and that's where you're wrong :D The main point about this pic is the color palette, I referenced EVERY color and every shade seen here from photos which showed autumn colors. And I think I learned something from coloring this... about working with a limited color palette.

Media: Pencil, Staedtler 0.3 pen, photoshop

Always room for improvement. I tell people, "You can draw like this too *If you try*. You don't just get good out of nowhere." Takes practice, determination, imagination, trial & error, and the passion of admiring your finished product. I can do it you ca
Hot and cold - I didn't really think about that, but you're right! I surprise myself sometimes ^^

And I don't know if I'm good enough to teach yet :D I don't think I'm particularly good about picking colors, so working with a limited palette is an advantage for me, because it ensures all colors fit together.

However, picking colors is only half of it -- the other half would be knowing anatomy, so you can shade properly. And we all know that takes practice :D

By now I can do this sort of pic without any reference, but I'm still struggling with anatomy.

You don't need to describe it, that you like it is enough ^^ I liked yours too without being able to describe it. Thanks a lot!
